under the carpet is water logged. If it is wet vacuum our the water with a shop vac. Then stuff under and rotate absorbent towels until they don't absorb any water. Then jack up the carpet with a short two by four and point a fan at it for a few nights while parked. It may take a week or more to dry it out. From my experience. Also take time to lift out the HVAC intake cowling and see if it is rusted underneath and letting in water around the gasket.
