But they are expensive. you can just shoot a laser down it, but that's easy to get wrong. The documentation says that US vehicles got the two different sized shafts. I ordered some 5mm acrylic to use for spacers.

I do actually plan to build the tool out of unistrut channel, I have a piece of it here. I intend to simply cut pieces off of it and use them in place of 3139/3 (etc) with the 5mm acrylic installed under the spacers for the short side. Then I will use two ratchet straps to hold the shaft to the tool. I have everything but the acrylic for the spacers. This will be my second manufactured audi-specific tool, I made a crank holding fixture a while back :)
