Had a local guy do the front cam and oil pump (he said was leaking badly) and crank seals. No leaks at idle, but when he drove it, came back, now leaking again. He says there's some sort of paper (WTH?) seal/gasket that requires taking a cover off that has 2 bolts down into the upper oil pan area. And to top it off, the driver rear cam cover threads gave him issues and now that's leaking. AAAARGH. what is this paper seal? And why have I heard nothing about it, he said he's seen only one other one leaking like that, figures my luck. So I've got probably another $1000 in repairs. Thinking of finding a good low mi motor and just doing a motor swap, it'd be the same price and my 202k motor maybe isn't worth it.
