...then you can pump out the tank with a length of fuel rated hose. It doesn't really even need to be fuel injection rated, because you just pump it out into a tank under low pressure.

To make the pump run continuously, remove passenger side carpet floor, then MDF relay box cover at your feet, then the screw to slide out the relay tray with the ...errrr.... combination relay which I think acts as FP relay...its been 10 years... pop the cover off the relay cover and use a little folded fuel hose or whatever to gently push the relay's contact points closed. Then you simply turn the key to RUN and the pump will run continuously.

It's also a dead nuts reliable method to determine if your fuel pump assembly is seated properly. Pump the tank empty. Pour in a gallon, get nearly all of it out and you are good to go.
