I had a high pitched noise dr.side by the timing belt cover. turned out to be vac.line so changed

them all. While looking for the culprit, we took the timing belt cover off and there was oil residue on the inside of the cover and the belt had some on it as well. Never had that before. Do I have to deal with it right now or can it wait a month or so till work slows down a bit? Can that little bit of oil damage the belt? It has about 12k miles on it, the belt that is so its pretty much new. No funny smells , would have never known if not for the vacuum leak. Any off you ever had that issue. Please chime in and let me know what you think.
