One point of broken insulation will not cause you a problem. But if you FOUND an insulation break where the wiring is not broken, but the insulation is broken clean through, then it is a virtual certainty that you actually have broken wires in your harness.

There is no PCM pinout in the documentation. You have to go through every relevant section of the wiring diagram and trace components back to the PCM in order to build one. But you don't need a PCM pinout. If anything, you need the wiring diagram for the CPS. This IS in the documentation. But you don't need the wiring diagram. You just need to take the harness off of the engine, cut the insulation back, and find the break.

I soldered around two dozen breaks on my 1997's harness. Then the CPS broke at the connector, the plastic actually cracked. Then I got the 1998 :)
