Connect a test lamp between pins 1 and 2 from the back of the connector, you need to keep the connector connected to the CMP.

If it doesnt blink while trying to turn the starter over...disconnect it>

Pin 1 to ground with ignition on will be 4.5 - 5.5 volts.

Pin 2 is signal. You can check that to ground, ignition on, should display battery voltage.

Pin 3 is ground, should show continuity when grounded.
If you're having trouble here, its best to test from pins 1, 2, and 3 to the connecting block. Here you can check for continuity to see if each wire is good or short.

Pin 1 goes to A3 5V
Pin 2 goes to B2 B2 Signal
Pin 3 goes to D12 Gnd
