but the easiest way to test them is by running the shaft of a metal screwdriver back and forth across the face. If you don't get an ohm change; something is wrong with the sensor; or the rotation is not in the optimal place; [put the wire in the same position as when you pulled it out] or you have metal on the surface of the sensor that is distorting the signal; or the sensor is too far away from the teeth on the drive shaft; or the wire is broken somewhere.
