Having Lucas HP2 on my PFL 1996 mean I can use the D3 rotor/calipers?

This question from pguder about D3 calipers/rotors upgrade was in my mind for a couple of days as I search with valid option to upgrade with good performance brakes at an affordable cost and bolt-on solution.
Can we assume that using HP2 calipers enable you for the bolt-on or is it just part of the equation?
Is it possible to list all the P/N required to perform this upgrade?
Also, having more unsuspended and rotating weight by having those heavier than stock rotors, does it has an impact on the car acceleration?
