The same motor in a Jetta with much worse gearing flat out hauls ass. The S8 is not "that much" heavier.

It will be fun but not "fast". Highway she will be turning fairly high rpm which is not ideal. I may find I need to swap a .56 tdi 6th into it.

It's a toy - if it doesn't work I'll put the V8 back in. Nothing will be hacked at all so it would be an easy swap back to V8 and 6 speed.
