I live right next to the CA 101 and it's concrete from around Cloverdale down into something like Petaluma. Some of the sections, especially as you get into Windsor (going South) are absolutely miserable. They're just not repairable like asphalt. One nice thing about the A8 though, it absolutely glides over that stuff at speed in a way even my W126 300SD doesn't, and that's got Bilsteins. (It also has a semi-trailing arm rear suspension, which is far inferior to the D2...)
