I have not used the RNS-E for nav anymore, I have been using an Ipad mini2 for music/GPS and live traffic routing.
The rns-e is slower than the symphony ii+ when you are navigating through the menus, the volume works better and has an on screen volume bar which I felt the RNS-E was always lacking.
Symphony II+ is also an in dash changer with MP3 CD support.
Plus the aux-in color of the screen on RNS-E is orange, not red which has always bothered me.
MFSW, XM and bluetooth all still function with this unit :)
PaulW, thanks for including the binder with the car..
I was stumped on the Can-gate and found the email printed off which explained the wiring colors..
I wouldn't have felt comfortable applying +12v to the red wire on the cangate without the documentation.
