I'm half way through pulling the Transmission on my S8 but unlike the C5/B5 cars I can't use an old Hacked up engine mount to support the engine while I drop the Subframe. Engine mounts directly to the Subframe. So I've been looking at Engine Support bars. The 2-point style like Harbor Freight and the popular OTC unit apparently don't work on the S8 as you have to support it from the Strut Tops. Therfore, I've been looking at nice / more expensive units. I think I've narrowed it down to the following two. Looking for opinions from anyone who has used one of them or at least someone that has used similar units and can offer some insight. I would prefer something that has maximum versatility for doing other cars as well. Supporting a Transverse 2.0t in an Audi TT or VW for example.
1) Cheaper. But not sure if its wide enough for the S8.

2) Double the price. Looks nicely made. Can't tell if it will actually rest on the strut top. If not, I'm sure I can fab up something to screw onto the bottom to make it do that.
