they are a core part of how that system operates, so you knock them off the ends of your cv's clean them up, insert and bolt just like a regular axle

then you pull the center dif out and weld it, and leave the rest of the front axles out but the inner mounting points can be left alone.

and you are converted, and have the same ratios as you would otherwise...

s8 rear dif is a 4.11 so your already good to go, not nearly the custom work your are describing.
