every time I go to Germany and drive in my friend's 530d wagon I get major envy. Gobs of torque and great consumption - uses about half as much fuel at speed as the 2.7T. And even more advantageous at high speed.

I might even give up AWD in trade for the big engine. It'd be hard to go back to RWD, but maybe worth it for me.
