Our spare tires suck.

Took me nearly 3 hours to get the damn thing inflated. Audi compressor wasn't cutting the mustard, then AAA came with an similar POS compressor. Ended up getting driven to a gas station, and their air machine couldn't get the job done either. The owner of the attached garage took pity on me and offered to let me use his air. Even with a good compressor it was a real pain to get the tire to hold enough air to unfold the sidewalls, and even once inflated the damn thing just wouldn't seat properly on the rim, so I had to deflate & reinflate it a couple times, eventually using some soapy water on the 3rd try and finally got the tire properly seated on the wheel and inflated. Very un-Audi like.

I can tell you that the spare will be going in the garbage after I get a new set of tires tomorrow AM (the only good news is that the tires were pretty much ready to be replaced) and I'll be using the space for storage!
