Where that REALLY hurts isn't buying/selling, it's when fighting INS Co's. Too often they want to use the lowest valuation of the make/model, not necessarily the options. If you need proof, google Totaled Jetta TDI wagon. I'm sure you'll find nightmare stories about cars being valued at the lowest 2.0 engine trims, when even high mile examples (>200k) still sell for more than $5-6k, nice ones bring closer to $7-8k.

Aside from that, I'd say the "market" indicates a fairly well maintained 6 speed allroad, with ~150k is going to ask $5k or so(as Econoguy noted, maint, upgrades, etc. will sway that). I wonder at times, if the KBB valuation for an allroad is treating it like and A6/C5 (auto)??

Just my 2 cents, which is probably worth less as an allroad owner.
