So the combination of lowering the pressure, pitching the rads correctly and re-pitching a supply pipe fixed all symptoms. Re-pitching the pipe was a bit of a pain in the ass. Kept getting water in the solder. Was pretty annoying; I'd dry inside the pipe and fit it all together and as soon as I got the pipe hot the water would mysteriously re-appear and start sizzling. Got it done though.
