If either the angled or straight nailer works for you - it makes little difference. The difference in pin diameter between these two is insignificant. I'd go with whatever size has greater availability of fasteners available.

I've got a lot of Bostich nailers and have experienced exceptional service life - you could probably expect the same from either Senco or Hitachi. Unknown store brands could be hit or miss, but at the end of the day, an investment in a name brand tool is almost always worth the extra few dollars.


If you feel that the difference in planes between the tongue and the face are going to be a problem, consider a nailer made for engineered flooring.
