but I see it does have a few metal cutting specific features to make it do an even better job.

The v-groove blade would be the ticket.

I have just straight cut metal plenty in my track saw with a metal specific toothed blade, I have a few for different metal types alum., brass, steel, etc..

I also have the makita 18v metal cutting circular saw, but the track saw works well for really clean straight cuts in large sheets.
