What are odds of test driving one without ordering/deposit/etc?

Think it's time for the BMW to go. M235i as replacement is tempting but the S3 is still more desirable to me on paper. FRS/BRZ and new STI are in the mix as well but less likely. Golf R would be in running if it was available.

(Aside: WTF, why no hatch on new STI?)
