Go in, speak with the justice or crown (Not sure how it works in Ontario), be polite, dress nicely, don't admit guilt but don't try and use defenses like camera angle, denying that you were going that fast. You have to be reasonable.

Tell them you don't want to waste the court's time by fighting the ticket but that the fine is a lot of money to you and you were wanting to see if it's possible to have the fine reduced. See what they say.

In most cases they will offer you the option to plead guilty to a lesser fine. Whatever they offer, I'd take it and run. Fighting traffic tickets in court almost never ends in favor of the defendant unless you have hired a lawyer. And I for one would rather give my money to the government than a lawyer.
