Again just this week there was more bad news for Tesla and some in the industry say that if they don't turn it around soon, especially the 3 series and its problems (by perhaps summer of 2018), the company could be out of cash.

You would have to be a major sucker or have enough cash to burn to buy upfront one of these new roasters prior to it being fully tested, roadworthy/certified and then put into production.
