Top i7 Skylake should be relevant for quite a few years.
You have much better board selection too and they cost less.

Unless you are doing series number crunching, CAD, etc Skylake should suffice really well.

6700 non-k is on sale at NE with promo right now if you never plan to overclock for $320.

As a 65w chip it's clocked down but can boost to 4
