There's one using 2 batteries which works as long as they have juice, then its a pain un-doing the whole set-up to recharge the batteries after they die.
The whisk concept I think works a little different then as he explains though. It doesn't "Speed-UP" your internet, it just helps capture stray microwave signals and channels its into a router. Thus; reduced dropped connections or completing a more efficient connection with more microwaves making into the router.
If there is any speed gain its a byproduct from the extra captured microwaves.
Working basically the opposite of what a Faraday cage does which prevents microwave signals and works as a noise suppressor.
