Just recently got it and have only had a chance to put about 250 miles on it, but so far it's been great. Haven't really had a chance to open it up yet either. Gotten to maybe 7-8k rpms. The torque from the v-twin is great, especially around town. I'm still running the stock gearing. A lot of people go down to a 14T front sprocket since the like most Duc twins, the engine is pretty choppy below 3-4k rpms.

My other bike is Monster S2R800 and the two are pretty much night and day. Power delivery down low is similar though.

I haven't ridden many other bikes so can't really compare. But the 848 is an awesome machine.
