Right after I posted my last comment, I did in fact find someone on eBay selling a used RP1. Auction started at $345. It's at the upper end of what I am willing to spend, but since I just sold my amp & preamp, I can swing it.

Then I found an online retailer selling for the same price. And also just noticed that Audio Advisor has it for the same as well. Hmmm...

The eBay seller has a Nagaoka cartridge and the upgraded white belt, although I am not sure if it's the full performance pack. AA is selling a new one, including a Rega cartridge, does not include the performance pack upgrades.

At the same price point I am also looking into the ProJect Debut Carbon. Retails for about the same as the RP1. I found a few examples on eBay around $340 -- same as the RP1 I'm considering.

Damn that price creep! :-)
