His receiver has tons of inputs and is perfectly capable of connecting all of his devices. His concern was his TV did not have enough HDMI inputs, and his receiver did not have enough non-HDMI digital audio inputs, but neither would be an issue if he just connected everything through the receiver and use it as a hub/switch like it was designed to do.
