I'm currently using my Xbox One as a player for audio cd's and it's terrible for such a simple task.
If you have it connected via HDMI and set to 2 channel stereo you get a weird audio static feedback though the speakers.
If you use a optical cable it's still there but it adds that same sound when you change tracks.
I usually buy higher end equipment used off audiogon and can't say I really want to spend a whole lot just for this when it would seem like a up to date bluray player could tackle this same job for next to nothing.
I guess I'm really looking for some recommendations for one with good electrinics inside or one that maybe didn't get the recognition it deserved and sold for next to nothing.
I've looked at some of these newer Sony bluray players that have Hi-Res Audio labeled for cheap but don't know much about them.
Oh, and this is strictly for 2.1 channel audio only
