I was at a buddy's house in Portland this morning, less than 2 miles away. We heard/felt a huge BOOM and thought that his boiler in the basement had exploded. My wife thought a plane had hit the house. We went outside to see if there was any damage to the home and talked to a few neighbors who were wondering WTF had happened as well. Didn't see any smoke in the sky from the power plant, though I understand it burned for an hour or more. Our thoughts are with the families affected by this incident.
