We all dick around after everyone discovers that they aren't leaking fluids and every bolt is tight. Practice days used to be the most fun part of the race weekend with our gang when I started 6+ years ago but attendance has been weak recently.

I don't like Thompson period. The oval (apron) is worse than NHMS, no place to pass and there's almost no place to paddock. Plus my car doesn't turn there on good tires. I saved last year's tires for our two dates and if I can't make those work I'm out for the second race weekend at the end of the season and may try to hit the Glen instead for Last Chance.
