You can't say "if they kicked field goals the three times..." the score would have been 21-20. If they had kicked a field goal on that first 4th down possession, that changes the course of the rest of the game. Denver no longer takes over on downs and instead receives a kickoff. From there you would have had different TV timeouts, different clock stoppages, likely different strategies by each team...the entire rest of the game is different from how it played out on Sunday.
Maybe the Pats do get two more opportunities to kick FGs but you can't apply that "if they kicked those three FGs" logic to Sunday's game, or any game for that matter.
