E-Parking brake malfunction - Indy recommendation

Got a parking brake malfunction; the driver side parking brake wouldn't release. Took the motor off to release the caliper; tested the motor - which works fine. Replaced the control module - first time the motor worked; but then stopped work right after.

Rector wants $180 to diagnose and then more to fix. Is there a good indy in south bay or peninsula who know the electronic parking brake on a 2006 A6 3.2? Low $ will preferred over $$ ;)
