Not too familiar with the TT, but I generally like to replace or assess the following for a new (to me) car, regardless of history:

-Fuel filter
-Air filter
-Cabin air filter
-Flush and fill: brake fluid, coolant(which you probably already have done) and power steering (never know if someone added washer fluid on accident)
-Check engine and transmission mounts
-Check check valves with an air compressor (10psi min -15psi max)
