Hi, friends. I know some of you like to shoot film... looking for some insight to get started.

Just moved to a new place, cleaning out her old storage totes, found a pretty mint Olympus OM-1 (D) from her mom's wedding. I've shot digital for many years, mostly 7D stuff, but have always wanted to try taking it back to such a manual, physical process.

I figure it might need some cleaning (where do I start??), and then some film (it's a 35mm camera... so just buy any 35mm film? Any brands or types or recommended ISO to start?) and then what do I do about developing? I imagine there are better places than just dropping it off at Costco (or maybe not? Just find any local photo store?).

Lastly, I'm not sure I'm ready to start collecting stacks of photographs, so I would want to scan them to digitally manage. Any thoughts or recommendations here that won't break the bank?

Thanks for any feedback you guys have.
