anyone successfully fix a loud blower motor without replacing the entire unit?

the blower motor makes noise, I think the bearings might be toast, because it sounds like the fan is contacting the housing. I don't think it is a actual motor problem but I've not looked at it. might pull it tonight and and see what I can figure out.
