hits boost, the ICMs have easy life. If you do WOTs all the time, visit track, drive in high RPMs with a lot of load, the ICMs have to work hard.

Remember that each ICM has to switch spark (RPM / 60 / 2) * 3 times a second (that's 150 times a second at 6k rpms for example) and the amount of energy flowing through the circuit (charging time in ms) is directly dependent on how much air/fuel goes into the pot.

I hope this settles why they need heat sink in high performance driving mode.
