on a B5S4 specifically, so I'll see what I can do in that department. Supposedly the B6/B7 rear caliper will cover the entire face, we'll see.

Moving the pad outwards on a larger rotor will help with braking leverage, and the larger rotor will help with heat dissipation. Not contacting the entire surface of the rotor doesn't have much to do with braking performance.
