a '92 Typhoon (#279), and a Syclone (#732)....tee hee hee. I loved them when they first came out...the Sy/Ty is one of my top 5 cars of all time.
Yes, I've known Roland for several years now. I haven't met Steve but I know who he is. You may also have met Dennis (has a rare blue Typhoon and 3 turbo Buicks), Paul, and Jeff Scott.
Yep, the 700R4 transmissions don't like the torque these trucks put out, especially at the track or boost launching on the street. Thankfully the 4L80e trans is now an aftermarket option and is nearly unbreakable until over 1,000hp. :)
Quickest AWD Syclone is now an 8.85 @ 160mph
