Did this last night half in the dark cuz it's a push right? Not.
I couldn't find info in the FAQ's other than Jimmy (GooGone) Pribble's rack replacement post which could also apply here so I'll paraphrase that some:
"1. This is very, very difficult. Not in a conceptual way (it's just two bolts), but in practical terms, ... Access to everything is limited, space is limited,
leverage is limited, the range of motion in your back if you are old (me) is limited, your patience will become limited, etc."
Suck out all the pentosin from the reservoir with baster or a vacuum pump if you have one. Put a ton of newspaper underneath the car.
Removal of the two bolts is 15 minutes. Reinstall was two hours.
The issue with both bolts is that they are hard to align to start the thread while holding the bolt and two washers in place. Once started, the rest is a pieceOcake.
The hose is quite stiff so it makes it hard to maneuver the bolt into position to start the thread by hand and space is limited.
Have plenty of perseverance and extra crush washers.
So there ya have it; a little or no advice DIY.
