long story short, because "I" had a spoiler on my Urs4, when we bought the wife the b5, "she" had to have one on her car. The salesman overheard the conversation and next thing you know, we're adding a factory spoiler AND bbs rims.
don't have a good pic of the Urs4 spoiler but you are right, it scrapes the fenders, and will eventually leak into the trunk. I wasn't a fan when I bought the car but it's grown on me.
