Worked on getting the inner axle bolts (M10 Triple Square) undone. Got them all loose and wanted to straighten the wheels to get a proper alignment to pull the shaft towards the outer CV joint as per the instructions.
Got in the car. Turned the key to first position, dash lights on, second position, dinging began, climate control on, and so on. At this point, I should have been able to turn the wheel freely. Steering wheel lock was still engaged. Tried wiggling the steering wheel and playing with the ignition to try and disengage the lock but to no avail. Turned the key all the way counter clockwise and noticed that my dashlights and DRLs were still on even with the key removed. Key only turns clockwise to the ON position but will not turn further to the start position.
