i don't really understand the gushing praise the 8 speed ZF gets....as it feels very much like an ordinary automatic which is FORCED to shift fast whereas a DSG is a mechanically comprehensive dual clutch gearbox. There will always be a difference between a torque converted automatic and a dual clutch automatic.....the DSG is far superior in terms of feel and enjoyment. Reliability and maintenance? not so much.

I don't like the 8 speed ZF in any car i've driven it in....it's ALWAYS shifting and otherwise feels totally ordinary....in Audis, BMWs, everything...
