Since I owned a 1967 Austin Healey Sprite and now own my ALMS TT, I was amazed to recently
learn there were cars in the mid-30s using both the Sprite and TT names together, i.e., the Riley
Sprite TTs (aka TT Sprite vs. Sprite TT).
These cars raced in the British Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy races for sports and touring
cars (not motorcycles).
Models from 1935, 1936, and 1937 took part in the 2015 Mille Miglia, pic of the 1936 one shown
