2600 CC V6, front discs, dual exhaust, 4-speed-

Got connected with the California Capri Club while living in N. Orange County- Those guys had hookups in Europe for performance & racing parts at the time-
Some of the mods were:
1-piece lightened custom driveshaft
Weber 32DGAS 2-barrel carb (Euro OEM) to replace the US 5200 Holly-Weber carb-
Allison Electro-optical ignition kit (no more points to replace or adjust!
Aftermarket "supercoil" ignition.. (I forget which one-)
Aluminum alloy CAI
Custom ignition wires made from USAF spec shielded aircraft ignition wire.
mono-leaf rear springs
Momo steering wheel.
Custom installed 3-way stereo speakers, 200 watt amp, Concord cassette head unit.
Euro grill and headlights (illegal mod at the time!)

My first "sports car!" Loved the little car- Drove it until spring of 1984- West of Denver, driving on a 2 lane mt highway, long sweeping curve at around 60, the driver's side tie rod broke and sent the car into a 1-wheel skid- Rolled it 4 times end-over-end, off the highway and down into the gulch- I survived ans still have a forehead scar from when the windshield collapsed into the cabin. Not much left of the car, needless to say, Have pics, but can't find them right now-
