Grenading shift fork is definitely below average. That had to be a tick on the $$$$ side, and a big pain in the a$$ to do as well.
The shifter on the orange car is a really nice piece. John (Lzed7doubleUU) helped me with the install. I think it took us the better part of 1 day out of 5 weekends to get that sucker in. No way in hell I could have installed it on my own. I would have surely set the car on fire on about day 2. It's made by a company that makes F1 bits, all out of billet aluminums... If the weather holds out, it'll get it's first track trial on May 4.
BTW, now that you're retired, you outta drag your ass up here and bring that evil red thing with you. BMW track days are very well run and as "safe" as they get as far as avoiding carnage. They have days on May 4, June 8, Aug 3, and Sept 14 this year. You have free lodging, beer, deluxe truck and trailer parking, and garage space with a copious supply of tools at your disposal.
