Did that almost a year ago on our honeymoon, the tour was VERY informative and well presented. Did they show you the stamping stage? We didn't as that section was being renovated and thus no tours permitted.

We also seen the Mercedes factory at Sindelfingen where they build the C and S-class, tour went through the C-class process. Got to see the stamping process and robots. Or Roberts as our tour guide kept on saying :) Similar ideas and such between Audi's and MB's, but MB didn't seem to have the same level of rigor as Audi's, such as the placement of the carts with parts or anything really like Audi, but again, the Ingolstadt factory is newer than the Mercedes. Mercedes also didn't talk about the status board like Audi, as our tour guide at Audi was saying they had an issue in the previous shift and the numbers on the board reflects that they were trying to catch up.

Wished we ... or I perhaps :) .... did the Neckarsulm tour, next time, including Porsche.
