Quick & Dirty 'hot start' fix.., which I see Rene already mentioned in one of his posts!

Anyway..

When you have a bad check valve in the pump, tired accumulator or dripping injectors, good chance you'll get vapour lock so motor won't fire until lots of cranking.

However.. Quick and dirty VW fix is to set up a pushbutton 'manual override' on the cold start injector so you can add some fuel when cranking. Once motor fires from that extra squirt of fuel, usually clears out the vapor lock pretty quickly..
